I found this quite hard as I've never done a shabby chic card before.
But I've used my white paint and distressing tool to help me.

Here is my DT creation using Beautiful Little Mermaid

This was my first attempt at mixed media.

I attempted to balance the background colours based on the image colours, however do not like the red in the background.  This was before I bought some stencils and background stamps.
I had lots of fun with this, and got to try out all the different techniques.

My exciting news is I'm on the Alicia Bel DT!!!
