COMMENT ON THIS POST FOR A CHANCE TO WIN

I've been busy today doing a mixed media project on canvas.
Most of you will know I'm new to mixed media, but I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

So I thought it was time for a little giveaway and I'm giving this canvas away to one commenter.

I've used lots of Lizzy Love images for this one!

Rubber Stamp 'Savannah Has A Crush' from the Lizzy Love collection at Whimsy Stamps
I've also used Newsprint Flower (No.194) and Kawaii Hearts (No. 26) both digital images you can buy HERE.

I have prepared the canvas with Gesso before starting.
I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade and Spun Sugar.
I just put a few drops of each colour onto the canvas before rubbing and blending it in using make up sponges (I got a big bag for a £1 at poundland).
I then stamped Darkroom Door Scratches Texture Stamp using black ink at various points on the canvas.
I stamped Savannah onto tracing paper, and traced the digital images onto tracing paper also.
Decided where I wanted everything and then stuck them down.
I then added texture using Creative Expressions Gilding Wax in Golden Light, Patina and Pearl Moon.  Using the Memory Box Texture Drip Rings Stencil.
I also added some decopatch musical note paper to fill in some gaps.
Then I have painted the images with acrylic paints.  Gone over the edges with a black pen where I painted outside the lines, or lost detail. I used gel pens to add details to the flowers.

Here is another view of the canvas:

One commenter on this post will win this A5 sized thin canvas.

I'm happy to post anywhere.
Please note any additional fees eg tax you will have to pay yourself.

This is wonderful Ang. I love the colours. I particularly like the dangly hearts.

I made a canvas at a workshop once and really enjoyed it but I don't like to get my fingers messy.

This has really inspired me to have another go. I never thought of using distressed inks. You've given me plenty to think about. Hugs Poppet. :-) xx
